Your vehicle should help you anticipate what’s down the road. With Predictive Forward Collision Warning[[23]], you can see what’s happening two vehicles ahead. If traffic slows suddenly, Forward Emergency Braking[[22]] takes over, automatically decelerating so you have more time to react. Available as part of the INFINITI Safety Shield®.
Predictive Forward Collision Warning monitors the vehicle directly ahead of you and the one beyond it. Sensing velocity and distance, this world’s first technology alerts you to potential risks with audible and visual cues, allowing you to predict any sudden movements.
Once you have been alerted, Forward Emergency Braking goes further to assist you. When traffic slows unexpectedly, the system pushes the accelerator pedal up and applies partial braking. If a collision is likely, the system alerts you, braking harder so you can minimise or even prevent impact.
Many INFINITI vehicles come equipped with Predictive Forward Collision Warning and Forward Emergency Braking.
